Questions guests ask

How do I book?

Use Check availability for live rooms and rates on our booking page, or send us your dates on WhatsApp at +91 78100 33445.

How much is the advance?

A 50% advance confirms your booking. The balance is settled at the property by cash, card or UPI.

Can our group book the whole house?

Yes. A whole-house booking is all five rooms together, with the garden, dining space and fire for your group. Otherwise each room is booked on its own.

Can I choose a specific Deluxe room?

Deluxe rooms are allocated at check-in. If a view matters to you, the Superior has the best one in the house.

How warm are the rooms at night?

Ooty nights are cool. We bring blankets on request, and the bonfire is lit most evenings. We don't use room heaters, as the power supply this close to the forest can't carry them.

Can we bring our own drinks?

Yes. We aren't licensed to serve alcohol, so do bring your own. Ask and we'll bring out glassware and ice.

Is Amber good for families with small children?

Yes. Every room sleeps 2 + 1, the garden is open for children to play, and our chef will cook for an infant whenever you need.

Are you on Booking.com and MakeMyTrip?

Yes, you'll find us on both. Booking with us directly means you deal with our own team from the start.

The small print. Amber is a homestay and bed & breakfast, not a hotel: there's no pool, no bar and no room heating.
